Resources

The Society will provide resources to help the public develop an accurate and fuller understanding of the Scouts, their community, and their unique role in U.S. history.  Materials will cover a wide range of issues from the ethnogenesis of the Black Seminoles, military history, relations with Native Americans, the Black experience in the late 19th and early 20th century, the role of language in cultural preservation, and more. To this end, primary source documents, reading lists, articles, and videos will be regularly posted in this section.

We welcome contributions that will help expand our resource base.
